After opening the case, to remove the Circuit Board:
1.  Unsolder 4 white wires.
2.  Unplug connector from Nano holder.
3.  Unsolder 2 green wires from S8+ and S8- (from whammy bar switch).
4.  Unsolder 3 wires from Nano stereo plug -
            White wire goes to "Plug 1".
            Red wire goes to "Plug 2".
            Black wire goes to "Plug 3".
5.  Bend up LEDs and remove the white plastic "light bar".
6.  Unsolder the black wire from the circuit board pad near the 4 switch buttons (ground for "string" wires).

Headstock - inside. Installing the switches and 1/8" jacks. I heat the blade of an old wood-handled non-serrated steak knife with a propane torch to easily cut and trim the toy's plastic case where necessary. Globs of hot glue hold components in place. Don't be stingy with it, you need a lot.

Trimmed away a small unpopulated area of the circuit board to fit the 1/4" audio output jack. A few other bend points are visible on the board as well.

Seen here is the added 5MΩ Pitch Pot and trimmers. The Pitch Pot is also connected to the 1/8" jack in the headstock for external optical pitch control via a photocell. Other bend points can also be seen.
