This instrument was created having three different sections.  The lower section uses a circuit-bent board from a toy ray gun.  The upper section uses the bent-board from a toy cell phone, and the neck section uses a "Kracklebox" or "Kraakdoos" circuit from the web (links at bottom).  Each section has its own on/off switch and its own 1/4" audio output jack.  This allows using different external effects for each section, mixing in different ways, for wild results.

The "Screech Axe" was fabricated using the body of a space-industrial toy guitar. It's a non-brand, probably made in China. IT was stripped and repainted a flat gray. The neck features added copper body contacts (more on the neck below).

Thin copper sheet was cut and glued to the neck pads. Wires soldered to the backs connect to the Kracklebox circuit. A photocell can be seen in the hole, for light control.
